Racecourse Lake
We live on
Racecourse Lake in Lake Charm. It is very peaceful on the lake with water birds
everywhere. Racecourse was called Racecourse because when the lake was dry
people used to race on it. We live on a small farm on the lake the lake is very
quiet unlike Lake Charm. People are also planning to drain it and little lake
charm and instead by pass it with a channel. We hope that never happens. The
lake is a part of the Kerang Lakes which is in between Kerang and Swan Hill,
Victoria. If Racecourse Lake gets drained the salt level will come up and it
will be a dust bowl.
